I had the privilege to work with the Archdiocese of Kansas, to be partnered with a school and create an updated logo design. I had a blast getting experience working with a client and it was a wonderful collaboration. It was so meaningful to work on a project like this, taking something old and giving it a new life.
Project Goal + Challenge:
The goal was to recreate the original school logo in a way that demonstrated the values of the school.
The mission of Holy Spirit is to develop independent, life-long learners who can and will live for Christ. Truth and Wisdom are the main pillars of the school.

Demographics + Visual Inspiration:
The school prioritizes community and the parish is connected to the school. Founded in 1984 and located in Kansas City, KS, Holy Spirit Catholic School was created on what used to be farmland.
The new logo needed to depict unity, have traditional design aspects, and point towards the Catholic Faith.
The Process:
Ideation, sketch, initial draft, modification & final touches.
I chose to use red, white and black as requested by the school and gave the opportunity to use the colors in various formats. The Holy Spirit was requested to be depicted descending, and additionally it was made available to use within a word format.
Outcomes:
The redesigned logo for Holy Spirit Catholic School communicates the values of the school better than the original design.
